This image, taken during my travels through Colorado in the 1970's, shows Engine #40 partially restored. Due to budget limitations, and limited availability of skilled people to restore the engine, and rebuild the track, it was several years before this engine's restoration was complete. Se also, "Silver Plume Station", and "Georgetown Loop" (which shows #40 on it's return to service). |
