The Kenai Fjords can be accessed from Seward, Alaska, via a number of tour boats ranging in size from about 40 feet to over 120 feet. Depending on weather and how calm the water is, you may find the smaller boats preferable, as they can go into more places than some of the larger craft. You will see a variety of fjords (narrow valleys carved by glaciers) and islands on your cruise. Many of the islands are havens for sea lions and seals, as well as a variety of birds. If you are lucky, you may see whales or sea otters.
